This is a full-time office position in a fast-paced environment requiring the ability to communicate effectively, multi-task, and work well as a member of a team. Primary administrative assistant for, and reports directly to, the Animal Services Director. Primary customer support resource for citizens. Responds to public inquiries and requests for services. Prioritizes requests for service and when needed dispatches animal service officers for non-emergency calls for service. Provides a variety of office support, records maintenance, and customer service to the Animal Services Department. Manages IT and telecom assets for the department and administrates the access, storage, security, and accuracy of information and databases. Provides information to the public regarding local animal ordinances and relevant rules and regulations codified and state statues. Provides logistic and administrative support to the Volunteer Coordinator as needed.
Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent. (1) year of administrative experience, city or county government experience preferred.
